Ping Integration - Atatus Docs

The Ping Integration allows the Atatus Infrastructure Agent to monitor the availability and latency of any host using ICMP ping. Use this integration to:

Measure round-trip latency (RTT)
Check host reachability
Monitor network performance and connectivity issues
Track packet loss over time

All ping results are collected as custom metrics.

Setup

No additional installation is required. The Ping integration is included with the Atatus Infrastructure Agent.

Configuration

Add the following configuration to /etc/atatus-infra-agent/conf.d/ping.d/ping.yaml

metrics:
  - hosts: ["localhost"]     # target host(s) to ping
    enabled: true            # set false to disable
    ttl: "30s"               # time-to-live for ping packets

After configuration, restart the Atatus Infrastructure Agent:

sudo service atatus-infra-agent restart
